Our Story
Built by Neighbors, for Neighbors
GRANTServ started with a simple idea: the best service providers aren't found on the internet — they're found through your neighbors.
Our Mission
Making Neighborhood Help Simple, Safe, and Reliable
We connect homeowners with vetted, trusted local service providers — making it easy to get the help you need without the guesswork, the risk, or the runaround. Providers who don't have confirmed previous projects within our community neighborhoods complete a background check before joining. Providers with an established record of completed work in the community are verified through their job history and GRANT Score.
What We Stand For
Our Values
Trust
Every interaction on GRANTServ is built on verified identity and community accountability.
Community
We believe your neighbors are your greatest resource. We make it easy to tap into that network.
Reliability
We show up when you need us. Our providers are held to the same standard.
Transparency
No hidden fees. No mystery pricing. Every bid shows exactly what you pay and why.
Local First
We're not a national platform with local listings. We're a local platform, period.
Giving Back
Through the Community Dividend Fund and our Community Partners program, GRANTServ is built so that using the platform strengthens the neighborhood it serves.
The Origin
Built in Sailview, growing across Lake Norman
GRANTServ didn't start as a business idea — it started with our Sailview neighborhood's Facebook group.
Someone would ask for a fence guy, or a stucco repair recommendation, and a neighbor would answer with a phone number and a business card. That's it. No record of it a week later without searching, so the next person asking the same question had to start from scratch. No easy to find repository of providers.
That's the whole problem GRANTServ solves. Not "find a contractor" — Angi and Thumbtack already do that. The problem is trust: knowing that when a neighbor vouches for someone, it's real, and knowing that the price you see is the price you pay, with nothing hidden in between.
So GRANTServ is built differently, on purpose, in a few specific ways:
Contractors don't pay to be seen. On most platforms, a contractor pays whether or not they get the job — the same lead sold to five competitors at once. Here, a contractor's fee is part of their bid, and it's only due once the job is actually done and paid for. No one is buying visibility; they're earning it.
On top of that, community matters. A portion of every completed job goes back into this community, not into GRANTServ's pocket. It's a small thing on any one job, but it adds up to something real for Sailview over time — and it means every resident who uses the platform is also, in a small way, investing in the neighborhood.
Nothing here is exaggerated. You won't find inflated review counts or a fictional "team" on this page. GRANTServ is genuinely new, genuinely small, and genuinely honest about exactly that. What's here is real: real neighbors, real contractors, real prices.
I'm building this one community at a time, starting with the one I live in.
